  Patient came in with old crowns that were long, bulky and overextended. She has a gummy smile, and her black crown margins were showing. They were the wrong shade, which adds age, and the bite was off so the top teeth almost completely covered her bottom front teeth. The lowers didn’t show in her smile. The crowns were replaced with 10 units of metal-free all-ceramic crowns and veneers so that the black margins disappeared. Her gums were “lifted” so that the top teeth don’t look like they were falling out of the mouth and exposed more of the bottom teeth in the smile line. The bottom front 6 teeth had veneers placed to match the color of the top and mask the dark staining due to medication.
